CREAMY CAJUN CHICKEN PASTA
A rich, restaurant-style creamy Cajun chicken pasta brought together with Namak Mirch Cajun Seasoning — bold, spicy, and ready in one pan.
Ingredients
- 250 g / 8 oz pasta of your choice
- 2 boneless chicken breasts
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning (1 tbsp per chicken breast)
- 3–4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tbsp tomato paste
- 200 ml cream
- ½ cup grated parmesan cheese
Method
- Boil the pasta as per the packet's instructions. Be careful not to overcook it or you'll end up with soggy pasta. Reserve half a cup of pasta water.
- Thin out the chicken breasts until they are even in thickness, around 1 inch thick. Season them generously with the Namak Mirch Cajun Seasoning, adjusting the spice to your liking.
- In a skillet or pan, heat the oil, add the chicken and sear on both sides on high heat. Once they get a good sear and colour, lower the temperature and cook until done. Cut into thin strips or chunks to serve over the pasta and set aside.
- In the same pan, add the butter and garlic and sauté until fragrant. Add the tomato paste and mix for a minute or two. Add the cream and cheese, season with more Cajun seasoning if needed, and let it simmer. Taste and check; if needed, add the hot reserved pasta water to thin out the sauce.
- Mix the chicken into the sauce or serve separately. Enjoy!
